soooooooo my ipod is bugin me right now

when i press the "next" button to play another song, if i press it too fast sometimes it'll freeze up, the screen won't change or turn off no matter how many times i press all the buttons or move the switch thingy at the top corner. it will stay like that for hours and then finally shut off


please don't tell me i need a new one

not that i want to abuse your thread but im having some computer problems and i suck ass at making threads

so it jumps one site too far when i click on the back/forwards button or when i click on a programm it clicks on a few programms at the same time or when i try to scroll wth my mouse then it goes to another site instead of scrolling OR when i click on a link it opens up in a new window but i dont have that option, it just happens out of the blue

its gone after i reboot the computer but it happens every day now and i scanned my computer but it said no virus was found

Yep, I'm glad I didn't get an Ipod. Well, I guess you win some and you loose some. My wife has had hers for almost 2 years now and it works just fine.

You should go to the apple help site. If you have a video ipod, it will tell you that when your ipod freezes like that, you should hold the top and middle buttons down at the same time for about 10 seconds. That will force your ipod to shut down and your screen will go to black with the apple logo. Then in another 30 seconds it will turn back on and you can use it. If it's happening all the time, you should restore the ipod from your itunes (it completely replaces the music so if you have a lot of music it takes ages).

My 60 GB video ipod does it all the time. I believe that the 60GB ipods are lemons. I never had the problem with the older models. Mine is still barely under warranty so they've replaced it twice but it still happens. Once you start having to force it to power down, it happens more and more often. So try to be more patient and give it some time to move from screen to screen in hope that it locks up less.
