2 of my friends are trying to become models, they've mentioned it before but i didn't know till today that they've actually contacted an agent named "Thomas", so they called him up during lunch today, and put him on speaker phone & the guy sounds kinda creepy to me. He said that they should do their photo shoot next weekend & start their portfolio etc. so my friends get so excited, and me & my other friend are thinking, what if this guy is some creepy ass pedophile or something? they told us that we shouldn't worry that th guy is a proffesional & he works with L.A Models or someshit. still i have my doubts that he's legit.

i asked them how they hooked up with the guy & they didn't answer me back. also they said if u asked the agency about him that they would know about him & such.

also another thing that bugged me is that when he asked him if they had their wardrobe ready they said no and he said don't worry we'll get you some clothes.:confused:

l.a. models huh? if it's a real agency, look it up and ask if they have someone by that name (first and last) working for them. better yet, tell them to stay the fuck away from him and make sure you have all the details of where they are if they do end up going with him. i've been in a similar situation with a guy that really, really skeeved me out and in the end realized he was just a perv collecting photos of girls in the photo department FOR HIMSELF. when you're a studio photo student, you use your classmates as models, so it's no big deal most of the time. but this guy was just too intense. he told me to wear shorts skirts and heels, and i just didn't feel comfortable after the shoot. the day we were supposed to go out to a "dry lakebed" to take photos and he said his truck "couldn't really fit a friend" of mine, i told him i'd have to cancel and didn't speak to him again. whenever we passed in the halls he'd give me the stink eye but when i look back at the photos he took of me, i get the shivers. some other girls that were suckered into it told me the same thing - and he had tried to convince me that some of them did topless shots and he was totally okay with it. yeah, don't do it.

sounds sketchy at best. Are these girls of age? If not, I am pretty certain that he would need permission from their parents to get them to model as they would not be able to legally represent themselves regarding contractual agreements or stipulations.

Second of all, LA Models website is pretty much closed up. You cant just openly search on there if you google it, so its pretty difficult to verify if or if not its legit. On top of that, the website gives the appearance of a very legit modeling agency. Now, not to sound like a dick but unless your friends are stunning, the odds that he would have found two girls perfect for a modeling gig in one shot seems slim to none. Also, did he find them or did they find him, and if he found them, how so?

no they're both 14 and they're really thin so i guess they fit the model standards
(i've watched that show the agency i know how thin u have to be to become a model, its insane)
