I also think these guys look like clowns, but some buddies of mine at NYU did tell me the NYC show was insane. I don't know how, but if you look at the crowd in Fight for Your Right apparently these guys did pull it off (beastieboystributeband.com).

They don't look OR sound like the Beastie's at all...and why go see a tribute band when the ORIGINAL band is still around....And if you guys want to see a REAL tribute band.....Go see The Doors tribute band "The Soft Parade".....If you love The Doors, you will LOVE "The Soft Parade".....Check em out...They have been around for almost 20 years now. http://www.thesoftparade.com I saw their show last year and was blown away....I can't wait to see them again.....

i shared a bill with them with a Zeppelin tribute band Led Blimpie...

the gig was out in Queens and the lead singer was in the greenroom sulking that the crowd sucked... he was kind of an ass... but they are definitely a good tribute band... they do the whole assume the identity of each band member thing... in my opinion they take themselves way too seriously...

While the guy below me in my original comment and I do know each other, we're actually not band members (although I don't blame you for thinking we are). We have, however, been to their shows (a friend of mine four times, in fact), and having seen the hating going on, felt compelled to cut in. These guys really are phenomenal stage performers and it's been hard to watch them get ranked on so hard. As for the guy above me (YoungRemy), Christ man, calm down, I never realized a man could take the presence of a tribute band so personally. If they're ever in your town, I really do suggest having a gander. They're not the real thing yet, but they're pretty damn good; I really do hope other folks who've been to their shows eventually speak up as well.

On a different note, there is an all girl Zeppelin tribute band called Lez Zeppelin http://www.lezzeppelin.com/. They played up in Burlington VT this past fall. Probably the only "tribute" band that was somewhat critically acclaimed.

Hey it’s the spam guy.. yea you caught my partner and me out there,, good work, oh yea Poland was a great show .led blimpie were cool guys to…my favorite song was whole lot of blimpie,, and then I was hungry so,, i had a blimpe best,,, we all know that no one can come close to the beastie boys. Not one of those collage kids had a bad thing to say about us.. the were just screaming for one more song…..i kid you not.. By the way....I'm having a hard time figuring out if these guys are you guys....Judging from the videos that I have seen on your myspace page, I would have to say no....Because in the video's, you guys sound like shit....This is from the CD "Tribute To The Beastie Boys" I found on Rhapsody....I ripped 6 out of the 10-35 second clips from the site and combined them into one file....The tracks are Intergalactic, Sure Shot, Rhymin & Stealin, No Sleep Til Brooklyn, So Whatcha Want and Sabatoge..for a total of 3 mins.....The karaoke instrumentals are pretty funny... Intergalactic is so BAD...But the rest sounds half decent..I guess compared to the videos anything will sound good...So let us all know....
