Ok, instead of replacing the funky beats of 3 the hard way with different funky beats, I thought I'd go wild and make a noise/hardcore version. The first thing by the Beastie Boys I ever heard was Fight For Your right, which I'd managed to tape from the radio when I was 10. I was constantly rocking that one song in my room, and I knew it was good because my mom couldn't stand "that godawful heavy metal." Now obviously there's more to music than just upsetting your folks, but neither should this aspect of the Beasties, or music in general be overlooked.
