A flare of old school rap mixed in with some funk.

Musically I'd take anything..I'm more into them for their vocals. Let's just hope the rumors of an instumental album are just rumors and nothing more.

For some reason - I see them doing something more new age with a mix of heavy instruments and strong raps and not so much mix samples.

Lets hope the rumors of an album heavy with instruments (Gratitude, Sabotage) and low on over saturated scratches (3 MCs and 1 DJ, Triple Trouble) are true.

I understand the frustration towards the possibility of an entirely instrumental album from the boys, I mean I became a fan because of their unique rap style and lyrics. With that said though, lets not completely dump on the idea of the instrumental album all together. Some of my favorite moments of being a fan of the boys were when I really sat down and listened to all of their albums all of the way through and heard the instrumentals for the first time. Just to hear their talent at playing their instruments, something so few rap/hip hop artists can do, really raised my level of respect for them. As matter of fact my favorite part of the last tour I saw was the mix master mike solo that lead into the six song instrumental set of the boys with Money Mark and Alfredo Ortiz all dressed in those cheesy 70's lounge singer suits.

Gratitude and Sabotage are 2 of my favorites actually so, I am hoping that the new one leans towards that direction also.
