I remember seeing it on eBay a couple years ago. It sold for something like $400 or more. It consists of audio & video footage as well so it's an enhanced CD / CD-rom type of thing.

Can minton or some other admin share additional info about this? A tracklist would be nice.

I remember that they were going to release a CD-ROM with footage of the G-son studio. I read about it in an online article a about 10 years ago...

Haven't a clue about this but the name Ramen sounds like a jewish name, anything to do with theold barbershop used in the STPTB vhs? Mind you, that came a few years before.......

The website with the interview with the guys who were making the cd-rom seems to have some problems, but here's (http://66.102.9.104/search?q=cache:FonvmSMVKnQJ:www.urbandesires.com/1.6/Toys/Beastie/beastie1.html) the first page from google's cache.

The VR-tour of Grand Royal studios from this project was on a cd-rom magazine called Blender in late 1995.

Back in 1995-96, the Beastie Boys contracted with the guys at Turntable.com to make a CD-rom. Just before it was set for release, the Beastie Boys decided not to release it because of a dispute over licensing royalties.

I am aware of two copies that are in the hands of "fans" (I use the term loosely).

that german guy from the "beastie museum" says he owns a copy, i forgot his name.

whats it gonna take for such a hot item to be made available to us heads? is it simply a matter of contacting someone, a license agreement, money????

im very, very interested in this. please point the way....:(

It also popped up on ebay a few months back from Sir Dan. But then it suddenly disappeared from ebay.

He sent me a short clip long time ago, then few people downloaded it from me on the hub and then somone uploaded it to youtube. I'm quite positive it's this video.

True that similar footage is on Ricky's shows.

I seem to remember having it. They sold it a Virgin America Music Store in San Francisco. I bought it. It was cool, but very choppy. My computer sucked though.

From what I understand that's not very likely. I don't think it was ever for sale anywhere. I've only ever heard rumors of one copy maybe and don't think I've ever seen it for sale. There were some screensaver discs and whatnot but those were different. I'm pretty sure Don't Mosh in the Ramen Shop is where the OG version of Intergalactic comes from.

What I got is only Intergalactic audio file in FLAC and few images per below unfortunately I don't have a video.
1. Intergalactic FLAC
2. Intergalactic Cassette Tape Image (this was included in the "Don't Mosh in the Ramen Shop" CD-ROM which someone may want to use for coverart or in iTunes.
3. A "Don't Mosh in the Ramen Shop" banner tiff (again his was included in the "Don't Mosh in the Ramen Shop" CD-ROM and someone may want to incorporate it into a cover art design.

Unreleased Single "Intergalactic" from the 1994 Ill Communication recording sessions.
Originally slated to be released on the 1995 "Don't Mosh in the Ramen Shop" cd-rom.

Unreleased original 1994 version of the song "Intergalactic" which bears no similarity (other than the title) to the song of the same name which was released on the 1998 Beastie Boys album "Hello Nasty." This song was slated to be released in 1995 on the "Don't Mosh in the Ramen Shop" Beastie Boys CD-ROM. This cd-rom was designed to be a multi-media extravaganza for fans of the Beastie Boys. However, when the creators at www.turntable.com (the site is dead now but you can use the wayback machine at www.archive.org to see their old website in all of its glory) and the band could not come to an agreement on licensing rights the project was shelved. Only one copy of the CD-ROM (beta version) has ever made it into the hands of a fan/collector.
