So MP3s really piss me off I think. Other than the 6 months that I did my radio show and had access to Adobe Audition I can never figure out how to encode MP3s. Actually I can encode MP3s of the sound modules I used to make, but fuckall difference that makes really. I need to be able to encode CD audio to MP3. And every program that has legal MP3 in it seems expensive as hell.

Adobe, as a company, makes me very angry some days. They price all kinds of artists out of the marketplace. For a while when it was just Photoshop I didn't care so much cause I could just keep buying Paintshop Pro back before Jasc sold out to Corel (which prices shit pretty much the same as Adobe).

So, basically, now I'm sitting on this CD of the Church of Hip Hop that I did last Sunday and it's just basically stuck there. I think my WinmediaPlayer won't even WMA it for me anymore. What the fuck ever happened to shareware and freeware and opensource projects. This is pretty much all Bill Gates and Steve Jobs' fault no?

Wasn't OGG supposed to catch on and make shit free or something?

TRY CDex

http://www.download.com/CDex/3000-2140_4-10226370.html

It can rip to WAV, OOG, or your own MP3 preferences. It's got VBR and can re-encode files if you're into that sort of thing. All in a relatively simple interface. You'll be spending a lot of your time in the Options>Setting tab.

It is entirely free.(y) (y) (y) (y)
