I lived near a town called Greenacres in Palm Beach County Florida. I still kick myself for not putting on my overalls and getting my wife to put her hair in pigtails for an American Gothic shot at the town's sign.

Overalls are good fun. I wear my Dickie overalls quite often. Enjoy yourself!

Although I am loath to follow fashion styles or even to pay attention to what people think, I don't think overalls would be tolerated by the populice where I live, which is shame cause i'd like to try them out. I have however gotten to wear them twice as part of fancy-dress costumes.

I suspect however that I would look like an idiot man-child if walking the streets in them.

I used to wear them all the time in college, and I always said "if you're wearing overalls, you're having a good time!"

but sometimes if you're not used them and you put a lot of stuff in your pockets, your shoulders kind of hurt.

ima fix my bike while wearing them. I may even wear them to choir practice.

pink t-shirt underneath and gold moccasins! hahhaaa! I love it!

they've got a rip from my old car seat that had a spring that ripped all my jeans in the same place for a few years. :( RIP '92 Plymouth Colt.

I sport my overalls with my high top Timberland work boots, a bandana in the back pocket and I usually wear my Buck Master or orange hunting hat. Lately, I will throw on my straw cowboy hat.

Baggy overalls are like saying...I don't want to wear a belt around my waist so I have one on each shoulder.

these overalls are magical. I bought them around 1998 at the Gap. they were kind of expensive and I had no business buying them as an unemployed 19 year old, but when I was looking through my wallet, I found an old unused store credit that covered all but a couple of dollars of them.

THE OVERALLS WILL RISE AGAIN!

Dorothy, I applaud you for championing overalls (or coveralls like some of us southerners like to call them) but now we need to work on your taste in shoes. Ha!

they're not as gross as they sound. they're my favorite shoes actually. they're really soft leather and comfortable as all get out. I actually didn't really want the gold, I wanted brown or white, but they only had the gold in my size.

sort of like these, but not these (http://www.zappos.com/images/720/7205202/3034-256102-d.jpg)

now, just for clarity, are we talking about what we Euro's would call "dungaree's" , that is the things which have two straps that Super Mario wore or complete body suits, like Michael Myer's would wear before slaughtering babysitters?

And you wear them with a large beard and a baseball cap? Excellent! I truly wish i could do that, at least once. If i were born else where (aka America) that would be my look.

I say order them and buck the trends.

My God I want to. I could see myself wandering down to the shop on a summers morn for the paper and a sandwhich...Only problem is tho the possible shouts from teenagers as I walk by. Kids can be so cruel! I could definitely rock them at a bbq tho...

Question, how are they on the crotch?

Mine are baggy so they hang low. A tight pair of overalls would be a major nuisance to your nads.
