Bought any compilations lately?....I snagged 3 in the past few weeks with vastly different results….
The Good: R.E.M “The Best of the I.R.S Years”…..it’s actually much better than good and will probably be the REM "record" I go for when the mood strikes me for a long time to come, excellent stuff….:D
The Bad: Sonic Youth “Destroyed Room: B-Sides and Rarities”…..I bought this and I don’t physically own “Daydream Nation” anymore….what a mistake…..
The Ugly: Big Audio Dynamite “Collection” O.K…it was in the cheap bin….no, I wasn’t high but was hung over…..so very terrible…..”Rush” and the “Globe”, that’s it that’s all….and I knew that years ago….

What's wrong with Big Audio Dynamite? They had a lot of great songs.

Hell yeah.
Murmur, Reckoning, Fables, and Lifes Rich Pageant are all great albums. Document has a few good songs. I saw that collection -- they did a pretty good job on the selections. (y)

Yeah,it makes me think they had a direct hand in it,the only thing that's missing is "Oddfellows Local 151"....(y)

The B-52s-Time Capsule
this rules. apart from their debut, their albums were pretty patchy, but always had some awesome tracks. I'm not much more than a casual fan so this is perfect.

Nice,my library has it,I'm gonna snag it...all I have ever heard/own completley is the debut "The B52's".......the last time I saw REM live,Kate Pierson was singing background vocals and Sonic Youth opened.....:)
