they have the benefit of being one of the few bands people will always purchase, because of packaging and such. and just because its the beastie boys, and you can't not buy it i guess.
i've always been jonesing for a studio dvd, though. i wanted to see if they recorded TT5B like they were performing it (a la on a pretend 'stage', moving around) or if they just stood there. my favourite studio snippet is the one of adrock running from accross the room when they were recording pauls boutique. probably for looking down the barrell, but you could just fade that scream in.also the studio shit on the sabotage vhs gives a cool insight into the creatives.
but yeah, marketing mentality would dictate you gotta give up something that d/loaders can't get. nowadays anyway. i suppose thats out of the groups hands though. so, while we won't get a real in-depth look at how TT5B was done, hopefully this camera shit is put to good use on the release of the new album. i know a dvd could be put up for d/l too, btw. just sayin.
