There's a thunderstorm going on outside. Big streaks of lightning over to the West. I can't remember ever seeing lightning this early in the year. It's pretty sweet.
Anyway, carry on.

ohhhhhh i loved power cuts back home. we got them frequently. candles, searching for cats, telling stories. it was great fun. those christmases where the power would cut out for long periods, however.. not so fun.
i like extreme weather but only if i am inside all cosy (i love that word) and warm and hugged and ooooooh. it's great! times where the weather has been xxxtreme on lewis while waiting for the school bus were shit though. times where school was cancelled because of it = BONUS! (y)
We have had this odd weather here for at least a week.
I think it's called "sunshine" or something like that.
I live in the Panhandle of Texas. It is located in tornado alley and in the high plains. We had 5 tornadoes touch down not more than an hour away and at least 1 person is reported dead. We got hail the size of golf balls for about 30 minutes. I bet my greenhouse has some broken windows. I am glad my house has a cellar in case the tornado horn blows. They test it every month and it is LOUD!
I used to live in South Florida where we got hit by 3 hurricanes then we moved to tornado alley. I am glad to be moving to Richmond Virginia where we will only get the occasional natural disaster.

Yeah, there are tornadoes here too. My hometown got ripped apart by one about a hundred years ago. But there hasn't been a really bad one since Edmonton in the late eighties.
