I don't know if this has been posted before, but i certainly didn't know it.

Right theres sampling, ok? Which Im quite fond of and is the basis of most of the music i like...then there's taking a song and EVER so slightly speeding up the tempo or adding hi-hats which is apparently what Daft Punk have been doing with alot of their hits!

check this out. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJPdVVOmbz4)

You don't really rip someone off when you pay for the samples and list them in the liner notes.

^ exactly.

the funniest part is how the video says "SAMPLES FOUND BY" which means that the person read this six year old albums linear notes.

Im sure none of the artists sampled are complaining as they probably ate for a few months off it.

meh, it all depends on your definition of ripping off then.

in my definition, it kind of is.

i think what roosta was getting as was not so much they aren't acknowleding the people who provided the original songs, more like they haven't reimagined these original songs in a creative way. just sped it up and churned out some tosh. i think. right?

i cannae watch it at work, but i believe yer.

To be fair, some of those clips are very selective and not really representative of the rest of the track. Having said that, a couple are disgraceful rip-offs!
