So far, it's Bale, pretty much by default. I didn't see the Clooney or Kilmer versions, though.

i think christian bale and his hot piece of ass are fantastic. enigmatic. gimmesome.

HOWEVERRHH, i think michael keaton should not be so overlooked, annoying as he is. the burton movies were the bomb. there are times when i watch the first one and i cannot believe it was made in 1989.

I saw a few minutes of Ahhnult as Mr. Freeze in a video store one time, and it was soooooo bad I knew there was no reason to ever bother.

Pretty much as soon as I heard that Joel was taking over the franchise, I knew that was it, and any interest I had vanished.

I was really psyched for the first one and saw it at a preview in Louisville and had mixed feelings. Got excited for the second one and liked it better even though it's a real mess. But then Burton left, Joel S. stepped in, and that was all for me. Adding more and more characters each time reeked of desperation, so my bullshit detector served me well, I think.

1) Adam West
2) Christian Bale
3) Michael Keaton

Dude, how can Adam West be "not worthy?" Also, I didn't think Val Kilmer was THAT bad, he was just a horrible fit as Bruce Wayne.

There's a good chance I could beat the shit out of Adam West's Batman; that's reason enough to say nay.

Pudgy campy fuck.

I kinda liked michael keaton's 'quirky, unhinged' kinda portrayal. He always seemed to be teetering on the edge of fully losing it.

I mean c'mon this is a dude dressed in a bat suit, he can't be as seen as 'having his shit together' as much as the bale batman surely?

Camo, I agree. I though he portrayed the (original) comic book Bruce Wayne the best.

Adam West's Batman was no Dark Knight but the show and movie looked awesome and was really, really funny...worked on 2 levels not unlike looney tunes, for the kidz and adultz....and the dames,oh man the dames were delightful.....plus it reflected the Achilles and Patroclus relation between bat and bird....:D

Keaton/Burton. They made a Batman that was on point-pompous, emo but crazy/bad ass...Bale too pretty to be tha dark knight his acting though is on par

Camo, I agree. I though he portrayed the (original) comic book Bruce Wayne the best.
I also agree...tha reason Bats and tha Joker are such mortal enemies is tha fact they both are crazy/similar

The_PancakeKing
03-30-2007, 12:35 AM
Keaton. He was convincingly crazy/fun, and that "You wanna get nuts? Come on, let's get nuts!" line takes it. Plus he faced off against Jack Nicholson. Maybe it depends on who you first saw as a kid though, cuz I saw the original in the theatres and will always pick Keaton.

Michael Keaton is from Pittsburgh.

That doesn't have anything to do with him being my favorite but he is nonetheless.

If it weren't for Kim Basinger the first one would be my favorite Batman movie. I didn't even mind Robert Wuhl which is especially astonishing.

I used to watch Adam West as Batman and yes I am old. He had a gut and was all flabby. He also ran around like a Mary. The villians were the best on the TV series..... Cesar Romero as the Joker......Burgess Meredith as the Penguin....Frank Gorshin as the Riddler.....Vincent Price as Egghead.......Roddy McDowall as the Bookworm....Art Carney as the Archer... and don't forget Bruce Lee was Kato for a time.

I liked Michael Keaton as Batman in the film versions.

And don't forget Jerry Mathers as the Beaver.

Anyone but Kilmer.

Christian Bale is cool enough to be batman. He's sexy too, way too sexy for any movie.

keaton was a great batman, and the 2 burton batman films are great too!

So i went with Keaton, just cuz Bale only has one film under his belt as Bruce Wayne, which is also great, but the next one might have nipples on the batsuit and feature a close up of his arse during the "suiting up" scene so we should withold judgement.

That's hardly something that should sway your decision about Batman though ;)
