I got mine done about four months ago - on MLK day to be exact, and I got some new earrings today, and when I tried to change it - holy shitballs it hurt like a mother!
It bled and I've got knots on both holes and everything. One of my friends told me to go to the docter and have it checked out, but another told me it was to be expected because thats the case with those peircings. I guess they tend to form knots and hurt for a long time? My aunt said hers hurt for about a year, and my friend got hers done and said she couldnt change them for a year.
I guess in Illinios its illegal to peirce cartlidge with a gun because it shatters the bone and forms knots, but in dumbass Indiana its legal - so guess what happened to me.
I was wondering who had the peircing and who could give me some advice. Is this normal or what?

i have a helix piercing (done with a gun) and it took a while till it was completely healed and it's more sensitive and 5 lobe piercings and only the last two ones got those knots but it didnt hurt nor bleed and they fucked off pretty soon

Yeah, there's no bone. Just, well, cartilage. I had mine done by a gun, but apparently I was extremely lucky. I've heard of girls having problems with theirs and it hurting like an absolute bitch. Mine hurt a wee bit for about 3 weeks after piercing (couldn't sleep on that side of my head) but now it's fine.

I can't say if it's normal if yours is bleeding, mine certainly did not. Mine didn't pus or anything either. And I never got knots. It's probably different for everyone, you should really go to the doctor to find out if something's wrong.

Yeah I didnt think it was bone either, but I asked the girl and she said that there was bone in there, and that if you use a gun it could shatter. Maybe she's just an idiot? I dont know. I also went to a tattoo parlor and asked the guy about it, and he said she was an idiot, and that it shouldnt cause knots and I should be able to change it - but, ive got knots and it hurts like a mother.

I dont want to go to a docter because it hurts when I touch it, i dont want him touching it.

if it doesn't get any better anytime soon, you'll probably have to go see a doctor. doctors would know better than we do, unless somebody's a doctor here! (lb)

I think im just gonna go back and see my friend at the tat parlor. For some reason I trust him more than I trust a docter.
