View Full Version : Irish roots?

I always wondered if the Beastie Boys were irish.
Because in Rhyming and Stealing they state:
"Ali Bubba and the 4-leafed thieves".

4-leafed = clover
clover = irish
irish = beastie boys
beastie boys = 1st irish hip hop group

So that makes House of Pain the 2nd irish hip hop group ever.

I had a strong feeling I was.

Funny no one else ever stumbled across this before.

If anyone (ANYONE) has any (ANY) questions about the Beastie Boys.... please ask me.
I've been on the ground floor with the Beastie Boys since early 2005 - so it's safe to say I know my stuff.

i can't believe it took you so long to realise!!!!!!!!!!!!

You only just got the WWW in Ireland?

I was signed up to this site in '98!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The thing is in 1998 there really wasn't much buzz about the Beastie Boys.
Some highly acclaimed historians of music believe that the actual (ACTUAL) buzz about the group really didn't start to get noticed until late 2004/early 2005.
So, if one hopped on board in 1998 there really wasn't too much of a history then: like jumping on the train, but there's no train there.... only tracks. Then walking away. However; early 2005 - train right there, on the tracks.

But keep the questions coming.... please.
I'm the kind of person that when all of my vast skills aren't being utilized I go on a rampage.

What "weight" (as in heavy, welter, paper, bantem.....) is the limited edition Šome Old Bullshit" t-shirt I'm sporting right now in my own home (along with my 3/4 speedoš)? Simple question, and easily answerable to any beast-o-file from the past 3 years, asily........................

I await your answer with baited breathe.............

Easy answer:
23 grams.

Next.

(1 rule: after I provide an answer there is no retreading or 2nd guessing that answer..... I only enforce this rule so that my dignity and integrity will be maintained. Think of it like you or me asking Freeman Dyson if he really knows his stuff about the cosmos. See where I'm coming from? It would be an insult to him.)

Actually you're forgetting about U2. Clearly they are from Ireland...and have been around longer than the Beasties.

U2's song Mediate
Hallucinate
Dessegregate
Mediate
Alleviate
Try not to hate
Love your mate...

is definitely old school hip hop...Irish style.

so sorry, padster.. why the fuck are you just hopping around trying to bust everbody's balls everyday, huh? i don't care what their mother's maiden names are and shit.. that has nothing to do with Beastie Boys knowledge in my opinion.. my knowledge is the music they make and that's all i care to know about..

i don't even read your posts, except by accident like this one. i just skip by them because i know you are crying about something

you are a pathetic little man and people like you ruin my favorite band's message board. i hope on the next version of the MB you can opt to ignore certain people's posts.. because nobody likes your negative bullshit.. this is supposed to be something fun to do and chat with fellow fans.. why would you want to come here and just try to fight with everyone? lol don't bother answering because i won't be reading it.. but i know you will, you sad, sad person:(
