i do. even though i sometimes deal with people that the rest of society despises, i am able to see some redeeming qualities in them.
well, almost all. there's 2 of them that truly concern me, and one of them i'm scared of (though he's incarcerated for at least the next 12.5 years).
what do you love/hate about your job?

I love my coworkers and building things and fixing things.
I hate most customers. and I hate distributors' mistakes, and dealing with the secretary ladies on the phone who don't know what I'm talking about. I WANT A SIGHT OPENING OF EXACTLY 10 5/32" X 14 5/32" IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?! apparently it is, "the computer won't accept 32nds". usually I'd rather just be put through to the guys down in the warehouse.
I wish I made more money, but other than that my job is pretty okay. can't do it forever though, as it's hard on my hands and back.

I TOTALLY love my job.
I get paid lots of money basically to work out all day. I'm in the best shape of my life since I'm basically obligated to do the exercise that I was never disciplined enough to do otherwise (and this awesome woman that I totally adore told me "I had no idea you were so buffed out!" (I usually wear comfortable clothes and don't show off much)). And they made me the boss, which is kind of cool but has its drawbacks. Back before I was the boss I could just practice rapping all day at work or write books in my head --do a lot of prewriting before I got home. The job used to be a lot more mindless. But now, being the boss, I get paid even if there are no trucks to do (very nice) and I get to hire people I like (very nice), BUT they put this stupid cell phone on me and I hate cell phones and sometimes I really don't feel like going in at 3am to load a truck but have to anyway.
I like it that my job has just enough variety to keep it interesting, and just enough challenges to keep me engaged but not overwhelm me.
It would be nice if I weren't so deep in debt so that all the money I make could go to things other than debt servicing. But whatevs.

what job
I sure do. Basically I sit at my desk and draw cartoons and write jokes all day. I can't believe that I get paid for it.
That's not to say that I'm rubbish, it's just that it's quite a stress-free job!
There are some downsides (some annoying colleagues) but the postitives far outway the negatives (y)

Yes. The job is interesting for the most part, the people are great, the money is ace and I don't have to deal with corporate politics as I am a contractor. Only downside is the location which is a bit shitty but I'll tolerate it as I am probably only going to be here for maximum of another 12 months.

I love pumping my groin to the "Hot stuff" part of 'Hot Stuff' by Donna Summer when it comes on the radio. I love doing it during conversations with customers.
I love watering plants. It is a great way to not do work.
I hate 99% of the people that I work with. I hate lifting things. I hate wasting my life. I hate barbecues and I hate sheds.
I hate my job.

I like my job most of the time quite greatly. Sometimes it's a bit shit, but not all jobs are perfect. I do shit which is real cool and I'd have never done otherwise, and every day is different.

I do love my job. I love getting articles, books, reports, everything for people. It's good to know that I'm actually needed here and can see what my work does for people's projects. There's nothing like the satisfaction of looking really hard and finding a rare article for someone. It's like a nerdy treasure hunt.
With that being said, ideologically I don't agree much with the branch of government I work for. Everyone seems surprised that I decided on this Department rather than another one, but I wouldn't be here if the good we do didn't outweigh the bad.

What I love about this job is it's very flexible, and, after something like 14 years of working for non-profits, I'm finally making a good wage. (y)

for now, it's really, really nice.
But in the long-run it's not what I want to do with my life. If I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life though, I'd stay here.

I'm thankful that I have a decent job. I've come from a long list of shitty jobs. Fortunately, I've always been able to feed myself. Most people in the world don't have that comfort.

It's all good apart from the downtime, and the fact that our internet access is severely restricted. Stupid government:mad:
On the plus side: I carry handcuffs, I get to dismantle cars to look for drugs, I work with sniffer dogs, I get paid well, I work in a good team and we all get along well, they paid me to learn martial arts, my work ID/warrant card looks just like a police one (which has the potential to get me out of trouble if required), I get to climb around in the back of trucks, I get to smash things with a wrecking bar, I can pick or break most types of lock, I work shifts so I don't have to go into town at weekends when everybody else is there, I have a full motor workshop at my disposal 24/7, I get 25 days paid leave per year plus 15 days extra time off, I have probably the best final salary pension scheme available in the UK, and I have pretty good job security.
So yeah, I like my job:)

I do, yeah. I'd kind of forgotten how much while I was on maternity leave, because I was putting so much of myself into taking care of the baby and of course all of the other crazy family shit I've had to deal with - my work just kind of fell to the bottom of the list in terms of my priorities and so it was all a bit "out of sight, out of mind." But now that I'm back in the office a couple days a week, it's come back to me how lucky I am to be able to do something I enjoy so much.

i have a love/hate relationship with my job...
i like talking to customers and helping them if i can. I dred (dread?) returning my 20 calls a day... but once im on the phone with the people its really kinda fun, even though the reason they are calling me is because they are unhappy with the quality of their home and they have problems... oh so many problems. i like being the "first line of defense" and helping them as much as possible. most of my customers love me and thats pretty cool.
i like knowing what im talking about and having the managers come to me when they need something even though they have their own admin. i've worked for Lennar for almost 6 years (4/23 is my anniversary) and i am the only one left of the "project" secretaries. which means i've been there long enough to know everything. I feel respected in my roles in the office but my paycheck does not reflect such respect.
the sucky part of my job is the pay. when i was hired 6 years ago the entry rate was good for then. now an entry level admin rate is MORE than i CURRENTLY make. this really pisses me off, but im feeling that right now isn't the best time to ask for more money as my company, Lennar, just posted a 1st quarter loss, after our 4th quarter loss and round of lay offs, i think i'll wait it out.
another sucky part is that i report to someone who is less intelligent, less office smart, and really just mildly retarded (no, not literally, although sometimes i wonder) it is extremely difficult for me to be nice when im talking to my boss because he's an idiot. one of my pet peeves is having to repeat myself or do something twice, and with him its constant repetition and refaxing and re-emailing, no wonder i drink! so i end up talking to this person as if he's three and then he tells everyone how mean i am... when really im very simple. listen to what i say the first time so i dont have to repeat it, and use your fucking common sense.

I like the free food, the free booze, the ready availability of drugs and young women who like to party. The work I could take or leave - sometimes it's fun, sometimes it sucks. I hate the long hours for shitty pay.
Nobody loves working in the restaurant industry. Nobody has a passion for that shit. It's just a job. But it can be a pretty good time.

My job's pretty good. The days go by really fast. It can be very stressful, but it can also be very rewarding. I've grown to really like my co-workers. I'm also getting promoted after only having worked there about 3 months. I'll be in a position that in most companies requires either a 4-year degree or a good amount of experience, neither of which I have. My only gripe about this job is that it's not what I really want to do with my life, but it will afford me the opportunity to do a whole lot more down the road if I so choose to.

Sometimes it's too stressful but the truth is that I thrive on stress and I'm miserable when I'm not challenged. The best parts are the coworkers and intellectual stimulation. The worst part is that I can never leave my job at work.

Bad things: Procrastination!!!<<<<, not being in control of the entire situation, Lots of Hours
