Our defence is fucked up for tonight. No Evra, Vidic or Neville. I don't know about John O'Shea at right back...

At least the rest of the team is reasonably full strength, Saha should get 20 minutes or so. I'm just a bit worried about the back four. Especially considering that it's in Rome, this match could go either way, and that scares me.

Don't let me down, lads!

Oh my god Scholes has been sent off are you fucking joking? He's our best player at the moment. Just because fucking pussy Italians can't handle the physical game. CUNTS.

Well, I'm only listening on the radio so I can only go on that.

Roma are all over them. Scholes has just been sent off.

Lex Diamonds

On the contrary he's a tackling machine, some players just can't take it so they pussy out and fall over and shit.

OH FUCK'S SAKE THE PRICKS JUST SCORED

Bang 1-0 Roma.

Heheh, I prefer to see UK teams doing well obviously but I work next to a rabid Red and all he went on to me today was "Roma are the weakest team left in the tourney- we'll give them 3".

ah come on now. he's a good player, but it is a scientific fact the boy is a clumsy tackler, he has been doing it for years.

You all know if there was ever a full scale riot at an NFL Playoff game, it would be worldwide news story, talking about how "Barbaric" Americans are.

Happens at a soccer game? Just another day on the pitch.

Rooney scores. 1-1.

Now 2-1 Roma.

Well, "full scale riots" are rare at soccer games too. just minor scuffles with police and what not. Not saying full scale riots dont happen...just not every week.

But yeah, it would be a world wide news story, cuz trouble rarely happens at NFL games, and soccer has a history of supporter violence, hardly a news flash.

As for "barbaric", i doubt that would be thrown at ye, it would be kettle and pot stuff. We just call you barbaric cuz of the wars ye start.....:p

Big Gus

Whn does a large scuffle become a riot? 30 people? 50 people?

It's more of a riot when things get destroyed and kerbstones get ripped up is it not?

Glad to help. (y)

Although it's fucking shit and breaks just as the second half starts so you spend ages messing about trying to make it work by reinstalling, restarting your computer etc. until you give up and check the BBC Sport website to find the Italian cunts have won it...

Other than that it's pretty useful though, yeah.

Chelsea could only draw at home... against Valencia. Pretty pathetic result if you ask me, seeing as they're going to beat you in Spain.

Drederick Tatum
04-04-2007, 05:36 PM
you get the feeling that without Drogba Chelsea's season wouldn't be anyway near as successful.

they have to score in Valencia to have any chance and their recent matches wouldn't really indicate they're in a goal scoring mood.

Big Gus

I'm really feeling a Liverpool win now, and thats not just cause I put a £10 bet on it when I was really drunk with my Liverpool crazy friend.

PSV are no great shakes but Liverpool are really hitting form now.

I still reckon Chelsea will go through. Valencia never looked up to much apart from that goal and it was a special one.

a 2-2 draw at home isn't looking good for AC Milan.

Roma v Man Utd will be a dirty game for sure. i have a feeling the Itie's may win thanks to some dirty diving. if so, padster and camo best get their brawl on with every roma fan they can find.

liverpool and psv, jhhahah, psv are fucked.

chelsea v valencia will be interesting. i think chelsea will pull some last ditch effort out of their arse. 1 - 0 chelsea in injury time.

as long as their decent games i'll be happy. although a valencia v liverpool semi would be interesting

you think that because they knocked out porto? do you want revenge for the motherland? :p

if valencia win respectively i wont mind. that's the thing about soccer. fans are too one sided. if their team gets beaten by another that obviously played better they'll find any excuse to justify their lose rather than accepting they were out beaten

hahah, i bet you wouldn't be saying that if Quaresma played for Chelsea :p
at least they have Carvalho and Ferriera.

this EPL has been quite interesting, no one wants to see a runaway winner. Chelsea have played pretty poorly in parts of the season. hardcore fans will say it's because Cech has been out or what not. plus 1-0 wins aren't interesting at all. who wants to watch a 90 min game to see 15 secs of action?

tell you what, padster, and any other manc fans, i'll gladly say Man Utd deserved to win this season if they win at Stamford Bridge (y)

Riots? Rarely. As long as none of the Detroit or L.A. teams win a Championship, there are never any riots at Pro games in the US.

If you guys want riots check out the Spurs vs Seville game right now!

Holy shit the fans are kicking the shit... out of the cops!

It's 2-1 Seville right now.

Madness

I'm not really into Soccer, but a work buddy of mine is, and he was saying something about one of the Italian leagues having to play games in empty stadiums, becasue the crowds were getting so bad.

Edit: From this article...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A59919-2004Dec12.html

• In Italy, Lazio -- already fined for racist incidents -- was sanctioned by the UEFA on Friday after Pierre Boya, a Cameroonian player for Partizan Belgrade, was subjected to a torrent of monkey noises and grunts from Lazio fans in the stands whenever he had the ball. Belgrade's other black players also came in for abuse from Lazio fans making monkey noises during the Nov. 25 match in Rome. Lazio was ordered by the UEFA to play its next European home match in an empty arena. Partizan Belgrade was fined the equivalent of about $6,900 for misbehavior by its fans.

Big Gus
04-05-2007, 03:07 PM
Yeah they actually stopped the whole italian league altogether for a week or so about a month back cause a cop got killed in Palermo.

Worrying thing is, seems to be all the countries the British fans have been the past few weeks trouble has erupted in the stands.

They showed more footage at half time and it looks like the police have got the upper hand again and are cracking skulls!
