thanks for the comments guys,

i heard the mix today on a huge pair of tannoy speakers and yep, the bass came thundering through! it's what you get for monitoring through small systems, so i guess it's best to turn down the subwoofers for this one until i sort out a new sub-friendly mix!

and so we continue to learn...
