I heard that the Beastie Boys ARE gonna tour the States which should be announced in early June or late May and will tour until the end of the year (Novemberish) and it won't be just festivals etc. It's gonna be a stripped down (beat wise) and focus on them playing their instruments. I also was told it won't be HUGE arenas but, small places that you would never imagine them playing.... When they play their instruments they prefer outdoor shows because they don't like the sound feedback they get from indoor shows.

I also heard that the new CD contains various types of songs from Rock to Buddhist/Classical/Jazz drop beats and contains no old school rap type tunes. hmmm...guess we will see.

I also heard that they are not happy with some of the mixes and are planning to do some additional remixing which may delay the CD release.

Good. Post Mario C, they haven't been able to get the same depth of sound. Lots of bass, sure. But even AIFST sounded a bit flat.

Lolla's isn't touring anymore. It's home-based in Chicago now. And it's the same weekend that the Beasties will be busy at the VirginFest in Maryland. :(

That is the rumor that got started when Pearl Jam signed up. That was all I meant by that post. Didn't at all mean it to be a actual news scoop. Guess I should have specified that - sorry.

From a friend of mine - she works with - various artists and she mentioned them to me and told me not to believe them - not that I would anyway so, I just shared them and is why actually I started this thread. Because there is so many things going around ( Beastie CD being all instrumental, This being the LAST CD, Beastie Boys are splitting up after this upcoming tour etc..)She actually is the same person who told me when the Beastie CD was releasing (in June) unless it's delayed due to them remixing a couple of tracks.
