well let me start. i hate my job because i feel under paid. they'd seriously be fucked without someone like me. i work too hard and fill shifts all the time because i feel sorry for my managers because i know they'd be screwed if i didn't work. so i've been taking advantage of that and have been compensating myself. but now i've been caught out, yet instead of confronting me they've hired a security consultant to audit my actions.
now i have a couple of options, be a good little boy and not do anything dodgy for a while. or quit and find another job before they go too deep.
if anyone wants to get high and mighty about this then i'll give you a pre emptive FUCK OFF! my situation is an Office Space scenario. no one above me has a university degree, and they get paid ridiculous amounts for doing fuck all, and they like to show it off while the little ppl get absolutely fucked over. i'm fucking sick of hearing 'Hey check out how i can control the sunroof on my brand new Audi with this remote' while i'm working 45 hours a week to be able to afford a pretty average lifestyle
bloody hell. i want to get my degree over and done with just so i can take up this job with ABN AMRO Morgans and fucking rub it in everyones faces. i'm sick of this shit.
the one thing that really pisses me off is that they suspect me of one little mistake, and they get this hot shot in to sus it out. i've worked my ass off for nearly 4 years and they dont have the balls to ask me about one little discrepancy. it's a fucking nazi company
this kind of shit makes me wanna be the Martin Bryant of Brisbane
anyway, end of rant

I was just reading an article about employees taking money from work (not that that's necessarily how you compensated yourself). Something like 1/3 of employers don't press charges, and that's in big money scenarios.
When I was a teenager, I was tapping the till at a place where I worked and finally told the boss what I'd done because I felt like shit about it. They kept me on and let me pay them back a little at a time until it was cleared up. That was my experience.

a bit of both i guess. i'm not interested in anyone telling me i'm blatently wrong tho. i'm still in a bit of shock about the whole thing
i'm also thinking of just listening to Nik Kershaw the rest of the night and imagine having a better life. either that or watching The Prestige

I don't know. All I can offer is how I deal with things.
Basically, for me, I just straighten out my situations because, philosphically, I think it's the right thing to do, and -- selfishly -- it's way way way less stressful. When I've been in dishonest relationships in whatever way, I spend energy covering my tracks and hoping to keep my stories straight and whatnot, and the hassle has never been worth it.
I've definitely held onto unsatisfying jobs but where this one's unsatisfying professionally, it's very satisfying financially, and I'm taking responsibility for cleaning up my finances and re-establishing a good credit history. So that's the dance I do, and so, overall, it means my job is satisfying.
I'd try to find something you can live with on the straight and narrow. That's more gentlemanly, to me -- that you accept a job and accept the wage, or you don't. That's my view, anyway. If you keep looking, you'll find something where maybe you like the co-workers so much that it makes lower pay all right, or the job itself is so cool that you can live with a crummy work partner or the money is good enough that you don't mind that you have to wash the toilets or whatever. You can find something that balances things, and, if you're lucky, you'll get the three cherries jackpot.
It's hard sometimes to get motivated to look for a different job, because it's so easy to settle into patterns of behavior and habit -- even if we're disgruntled. But it's a big world, and I can almost guarantee you that you have more options than you think.
Regardless -- good luck. Sincerely. (y)

I worked at a woolworths bakery for a while. And I hated my female manager because she was racist.
Anyway, she was on break but left her water bottle behind, so I went into the bakery freezer and jerked off into the bottle, then mixed it up with the straw.

Just work towards that degree. It's amazing what that little piece of paper will do for anyone. On the flipside however, I've seen a lot of people who didn't learn anything from college and be successful. But a degree is something else you can put on your resume.

well, bbmb's brisbane population has now reached 100% unemployment. i actually feel really good, now i pursue another job that's actually decent until i finish my degree. everything's good, i told them exactly what they wanted to hear so officially i was "asked to leave" instead of being fired plus my managers are going to write good references for me. i just wish i had enough saved up so i could live out the rest of this semester without having to work.
time to get a bottle of vodka to celebrate/ drown my sorrows :D

lol @ "references" from a pizza place. Those should come in handy. You must be a piece of shit in life if you try to "justify" stealing from your employer.
Weak. I wouldn't hire you as a jizz mopper at the corner Adult Vid store.

Me too. Or I have a problem with fuckwits.
Icy, I congratulate your thievery. I used to compensate myself all the time, but not for a long time. If I worked at Domino's I'd be stealing everything I could.
At KFC, I nicked boxes of cheesecakes and cooked myself the best lunches.

i think i have a big problem with authority too. my working situation was very similar to icy's, i believe. i was being bossed around by people who hadn't even finished high school, my manager was a greedy dumb bitch who ripped off all of her employees to make the maximum profit. and i resented being bossed around by her friends that had no real authority over me. i also resented their attitudes and opinions towards things, and the constant animosity i would get because of my university degree. so i know how you feel icy. apparently, there were a lot of people at my job that got fired for stealing, but in my opinion that's perfectly justifiable because the manager was stealing from her employees by paying them below minimum wage.

i guess my opinion would be based on what the dodgy shit is, exactly.
but apparently this thread is only for posting happy things (even though you should expect to get whatever replies people want to post), and no one can point out that you were fired for dishonesty and your employer was justified in doing so.
