so my phone rings, and i'm wondering who the hell would call me at 12:46 am, and i figure one of my friends was just really drunk. i answer, and it's a male's voice that i don't recognize. so we play that whole game where i ask who it is and the person says guess and i say i can't and that goes on for a bit. i keep telling him that he must have called the wrong number but then i thought maybe it was my friend willie nelson, so when i guessed him, the guy thought i was fucking with him. finally he says it's michael.

then i tell him i don't have a friend named michael and he says "we haven't talked for like 6 weeks. it's michael, kim's friend." so then i say "kim who?" and that's when he finally realizes he's dialed the wrong number. only he begs me not to hang up because it's his birthday and he's really drunk and he's at his friend's house and they're all passed out and he's thinking about leaving.

so now i'm concerned his drunk ass is going to get into a car, and i finally convince him not to, explaining that it would really suck to sit in jail on a dui on his birthday.

after 7 minutes and 54 seconds, i said goodbye and hung up. and he was sorta upset, begging me to stay on the phone.

oh, he's 22. wish him a happy birthday, everyone!

at first i was scared that he was some sort of suicide, reaching out, when he begged me not to hang up. then i realized that he was at that stage of drunk where you feel like being able to talk to someone will keep you from either vomiting or doing something really stupid.

i told him he should go puke, and that he'd feel better. he said he already threw up sometime this afternoon. so, kudos to him for keeping the party going.

Me and my mates did that once, when a mate had a free phone. we just dialled random numbers. once guy we called was really angry at first cuz it was 2am, then decided he liked us and chatted to all of us as we passed around the phone for about half an hour. We talked to a few girls too, man, that was some quality entertainment for 2 hours.
