so last sunday at a shopping mall, i walked into a gallery and saw a work by Todd (the guy that does that horrible David & Goliath brand of shirts and other crap) that was a blatant ripoff of a work by one of my favorite artists, Dave Kelly (aka Shmorky). i contacted both him and Todd, and Shmorky posted it on the Something Awful forums and it's gotten a ton of hits. it's been Dugg a lot too. check it out.

that's pretty cool if you know him, i like his stuff

i don't know him, but i read his webcomics for years. i haven't read anything of his in a long time though.

That really sucks! Sounds an interesting story but I can only read page 1 before it asks me to pay money.

Good work highlighting it to the original artist though, thats such blatant plagiarism it hurts.

WTF?? This is messed up. I read on that Something Awful forum about how he or whoever hacked into other people's accounts and fucked them up. That seriously sucks. As much as people make fun of myspace, I have so many emails and shit on there and people that I've found from wherever that would be a pain in the ass to find again. Wow I sound gay right now but seriously that bites.

Wow, you really did start something. Now if you google Todd, you get all these stories about how he's a thief. And you should get some credit in the wikipedia article. :p

I'm sorry that you're getting some fall out from it. Would the guy really do it himself, or does he have a wacked out fan?

it's a long story. basically he used a javascript thingy on his page, and after sending me a message i went to visit said page and he used that to hack into my account and delete me. boourns. myspace's code is about as secure as a 13-year-old girl anyway (n)

I dunno, I would consider the fact that any of the crap this guy does having demand to be the real issue.


Look at it this way:

homosexual artist plagarizes a bunch of crap 70% of which was never witty/cute/clever to begin with, and makes thousands of dollars for each peice he sells.

homosexual artist wins.


gay people steal stuff all the time. I dont know why anyones suprised.

I didnt notice this when i first read here. You can read the whole thread its just you clicked the wrong button. I do it all the time at something awful. I'm guessing you clicked the "rate thread" number which is at the bottom of the thread as opposed to the "pages:" links at the bottom of the page.
