any thoughts?
right now my choice is from the 17 minute version of in-a-gadda-da-vida. its nice since there arent really any cymbals (outside of the light hi-hat near the end of it) and no snare drum, so its all just a combo with the toms, which is something that really isnt done much, especially now a days

Moby Dick by Led Zeppelin.
A more contemporary one would be the new "Brianstorm" track from Arctic Monkeys.
It has a class drum break.

There are several excellent solos by Terry Bozzio. He fucks it up!

I'll be honest with you - while I love the drumming section in the song it's the guitars that really do it for me.

I know it's crazy simple, but Ringo's drum solo on Abbey Road is awfully fucking cool.

maybe i'm the only one who noticed this, but it seems really unsusual that his snare drum is tilted back in the other direction

Recorded: Rob Hirst from Midnight Oil in 'The Power and the Passion'.
Live (personally attended): Nicko McBrain from Iron Maiden.
Live recordings of drum solos give me the shits, though.
