Seriously, this half pitbull mix almost attacked me at work the other day. I was helping this lady with a propane exchange, and all of the sudden this "friendly" dog (without a collar or tag, nice job fuckface owners) starts jumping and growling at me and snapping at me.

Then the lady says, "you have to raise your voice at it like this. DOWN!" and it backed off. Fuck that. I'm not raising my voice at this hellion that is trying to bite my nutsack off.

I love animals, but this might have been the first time I legitmately hated an animal. Pitbulls should be sent to Iraq to test for landmines.

Similar stories?

There was some Russian general during WWII that sent hundreds of Huskies into enemy territory to test for landmines.

And some guy wanted to strap cognac or schnapps or whatever to german Shepherds and send them running into the Nazi lines, and then the nazis would pet the dogs and then get drunk and surrender!

I think these two accounts may be the only similar stories avaliable in all the world.

Breeding pitbulls is now illegal in England due to gangsters using them as legal equivalents to knives and guns. I watched a program about these Gs in London who were breeding and training pitbulls to sell to crews, and though they were more deadly than knives (they lock their jaws on your throat until you die) the police could not legitimately stop people from walking around with pitbulls. It was fucked up, people walking around with murder weapons which had minds of their own.

I know a few people with pitbulls and they are kick ass. Really friendly and obedient. Its all in how you raise them...at least that is what I believe.

They're genetically bipolar.

Rock, what about parents that raise their kids to be polite, repectful and educated...... then the little bastard starts mainlining coke and taking cash from his mommy's purse. I do agree that proper training and care of a Pittbull or any other breed is very important. Some breeds are more likely to snap.

I know that Chows are a very snippy animal. There are many others.

Now you reminded me of a film I once watched about a gang who trained a bunch of dobermans to rob a bank. A pure classic. But I cant remember the name of the film tho. :(

yes they can be trained to not act aggressively. however, you cannot be guaranteed that they won't just snap at any moment. this seems to be the case a lot of the time. yes, often something provoked it, but it is their reaction. and their jaw does not have a locking mechanism, they are just a dog that has been especially bred for its gameness and tolerance of pain. they will not let go until the attackee is dead.

I'm fairly sure there was a sequel, for what it's worth. Maybe even two. Disney had a little franchise going there for a bit.

get a clue people. ALL dogs have the potential to BITE and misbehave. Pits happen to be a very powerful dog so when they are agressive it usually has bad results.

I move to strike the title of this thread and change it to: "People who breed aggresive pitbulls suck and should go to hell."

I'm sorry but the dog is just being a fucking dog. it's people who don't or can't control thier animals that need to be banned.

I'm not that worried about pitbulls, I hate Cocker Spaniels. No need for them to burn in hell though, I'll be glad to light the little fuckers on fire.

But he wuvs you! (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v131/QueenAdrock1/pets/1099R-5132.jpg)

My cocker spaniel is a little nutty. He barks at bikes and people who run, and he's very territorial and protective of the ladies of the family. But he's also very sweet and excitable. We dropped him off at a boarding place when we went away for the weekend, and I guess he thought we were leaving him there because when we came back, he was like  OMGOMGOMGOMG!!! and started jumping up and down on me for like 5 minutes straight. I love that crazy little fucker. :o
