...I wonder if it'd be worth it. I mean, $15 ain't much, but it would be kind of heartbreaking if he didn't get it together enough to be professional.
Hmmmmm.....

Shy Sly Stone picks S.J. for show
RECLUSIVE SINGER BOOKS ONE U.S. CONCERT SO FAR: ARENA GREEN IN JULY
Ready for some "Hot Fun in the Summertime"?
After two decades out of the spotlight, reclusive Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Sly Stone has decided to return to the concert stage. His first confirmed booking? An outdoor show in downtown San Jose.
Sly and the Family Stone will headline the "Back in the Day" event July 7 in the Arena Green park near HP Pavilion. The concert will also feature the Average White Band and the Latin Sensations, a Latin rock supergroup. Tickets for $15 are available at www.francopresents.com.
But will Stone show? Even in his Woodstock-era heyday, the man born Sylvester Stewart was a notoriously unreliable performer. In 1987, Stone was arrested and convicted for possession and use of cocaine. Since his release, he has made only a handful of public appearances. The most notable include the band's 1993 induction into the Hall of Fame and an odd, brief cameo during an all-star tribute to Stone at last year's Grammy ceremony.
"I know he's going to be there in the very heart of my soul," says promoter Franco Herrero. "This is the real deal. Sly will be there."
