Cheechoo takes the hit to the knee at about 2/3rds the way through the footage.

not really. they kinda skated into eachother and tripped if you ask me. I didn't really see the elbow to the face that the coach was talking about.

i think he was looking to at least hit him on the play. usually when players do that its for of a little leg sweep than a knee shot

i wouldnt say he was trying to hurt the guy, but he definitely made an effort to make some contact

I wish there were a better angle.

I think it was deliberate and awkward. I don't think it was the hit Hartnell wanted, and he brought the elbow up, kind of flailing.

Cheechoo lost a tooth, supposedly from the elbow, and got cut above the eye, supposedly from the ice.

About halfway through, you get a slightly different angle. It definitely doesn't look like Hartnell even tried not to hit him.

And just look at what happens to Cheechoo's leg. OUCH.
