but, I am.
Do I stay in a job that I'm only semi-happy with where I enjoy the people around me, but hate my boss and the hierarchy above her. I like what I do, but don't feel that I fit the mold of what they expect of me. The job is extremely corporate with tons of micro-managing, but it's secure and I know I have a future at my salary range.
OR
Do I take a job with a new company in a new industry that is owned by a friend's husband where I will be doing what I love (special event coordinating)? It's a seasonal job that can potentially give me the same amount I make now (or more!) for about 7-months worth of work. There's no way of knowing if this company will succeed, so I may be looking for a new job in the fall and having difficulty as there's not a whole lot of jobs in the salary range that I am in. If it does succeed, I would be getting in at the beginning and it would be a very non-corporate environment.
*Please take into consideration that I do have a mortgage and other bills to pay, so I can't have a "whatever" attitude.
What would you do?
