I had my first joint when I was 18. Pretty much, I didn't want anything to get in the way of my schooling and I kind of downlooked all of my friends who smoked when they were still in school.

Once I got out, it was on though. After the first joint, I fell in love with it.

Maybe you want to wait. I really think while you're still in school is a wrong time. Who knows though, I've got alot of friends that smoked during high school that have made alot of achievements and I also have the share that have done nothing at all, some still at their parent's house.

Any substance you ingest can have a harmful effect on a person. Thats too blanketed of a statement to single out social pot smoking as a reason not to do it. Aspirin can cause Reyes Syndrome, yet its doubtful anyone considers it before taking one when they have a headache. Odds are most things you consume with the potential to cause harm are more frequent and can cause worse things to happen to you than smoking a joint ever could.

I would say this statement passes pretty strong judgment. The reason I criticize you for it is odds are you know little to nothing about the subject. If I were to base my knowledge of pot off of what school taught me, I would still think it was similar to heroin in terms of danger. Like I stated before, it has been a very long time since I was stoned, and even longer since I smoked. When I did, it was infrequent and in small amounts. Sure, I know potheads that are lazy counterproductive individuals, but I also know law students and fine upstanding members of the community that also smoke.

I have never smoked a cigarette either, and a bunch of my friends always try to get me too when they and/or I am drunk. I just won't do it.

I've tried smoking, but its not my thing. All my old friends were like, I took one puff and got addicted, but i've smoked a few cigs by myself and it just doesnt do anything for me. Drinking really doesnt either. Its fun if your with the right people, but its not something that i HAVE to do. I've been clean about 5 months now and im really happy. I believe you should try things because everyone has to try things (if they want to - if you dont want to, I dont think you should do it) But not at a very young age when your growing and impressionable. The grade of N20 used for cars could possibly have Sulfer Dioxide (SO2) added. It's added intentionally, mostly to prevent people from using it to inhale. Medical grade N20 is the pure stuff.

The reason they make the grade with the added SO2 is because it is legal for Speed Shops to sell it. They would need to show proof that it was being used for medical purposes and get authorization from the FDA to sell the medical grade stuff. Technically, N20 is a drug.
