"All I wanted was a Pepsi".

Suicidal Tendencies' "Institutionalized" and Ch-Check it Out mashup mix.

I was pretty excited when I saw this request and here is my feeble attempt at tackling it. This was a song (along with the entire first album) that I practically wore out (not quite though. the ST samples are from the actual ST self titled vinyl I purchased back in '86 or '87). The Repo Man (http://www.amazon.com/Repo-1984-Film-Various-Artists/dp/B000002PF7)soundtrack got me lovin' ST, Black Flag and the Circle Jerks. (The band I'm now in covers "Pablo Picasso" for those that are taking notes) and the Krush Groove (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089444/soundtrack)soundtrack got me lovin' the Beastie Boys and LL Cool J (I was already into Run DMC  ;) )

Enough babble. Have a listen

Thanks to Silence7 for the suggestion/request

Thanks a ton for this!!! I've been into Suicidal for years and years. Probably first heard them around 84-85 and have loved them ever since, Join the Army is in heavy rotation in my house. Classic skate punk!

My Sister consequently heard me playing them a lot back in the days and got into them also, and like me, loves them to this day.

This track brings back soooo many memories. Man, we thought we were so hardcore listening to ST. They're very tame by a lot of standards, but they still kick ass.

Thanks Again :D I'm dropping her e-mail right now..

Exactly. I probably haven't heard this album in like 15 years. I listened to the whole thing Friday night and it totally holds up. This is extremely embarassing, but Halloween-1986, me and and a few my friends (in NE Ohio no less) did the Mike Muir-bandana over the eyes-flannel shirt buttoned to the top thing with our skateboards in tow. Glad no one had a camera. :p .

Thank YOU Silence7
