They probably didn't do instruments for the Bad Brains. Not only do the Bad Brains play their own instruments, they're better musicians than the Beastie Boys. I like the Beastie Boys more of course, but facts is facts.

the two albums are not related, besides that fact that Yauch played a part in the creation process...

MCA had a lot to do with that Bad Brains album...

In fact, I think they may have a role in one of the songs on the new album since they were in Osilliscope for so long recording/producing...
