It's nowhere near as funny as Shaun... but still funny... and almost a passable buddy cop/action movie.

Yeah it's been out here for a couple of months now.
If you liked Shaun - you'll love it. I think Shaun is slightly better but it's a great film well worth seeing. I give it 8/10. And I score tough.

Passable as in can be taken seriously as an action film. Not quite but it's pretty close.

Claro....so,in the same light as "Shaun..." was a passable Zombie flick then....

Less so, I would say. Shaun Of The Dead is a pretty authentic zombie film I reckon. The action film references and homages are there but it just lacks something to make it an authentic action film. It's pretty good anyway, check it out and let us know what ya think. (y)

its about 1000 times funnier than Shaun of the Dead. the only people I've heard say it's not funnier have been girls, and since when have girls been funny? never.

It's good, but up to the final 20 minutes seems quite slow. Then for the last 20 all hell breaks loose:cool:
There are a shitload of great quotable lines too, and some nice references to other films.

Um.
But anyway. Our local weekly rag went pretty nuts about this new movie. We'll see. I liked Shaun of the Dead, but it wasn't like the second coming or anything that a lot of people made it out to be.

Same opinion here but everyone else seems too prefer Hot Fuzz.

No bother chief! There's plenty of decent stuff on there for the taking...
The Peadogeddon (http://www.tv-links.co.uk/show.do/1/940) special of Brass Eye is just as great as when it first went out.

Hot Fuzz was pretty great though a little too long and the first hour moved pretty slowly. When they finally got into the "action movie" shit however, it was amazing.
I just downloaded Spaced so I'm looking forward to that.
Final verdict: Shaun of the Dead wins. But this is probably because I am a bigger zombie movie fan than buddy cop movie fan. Either way, these guys kick ass.

I agree, this was a fuckin brilliant movie. I can't wait til it hits DVD so I can watch it many more times.
I might even go drag myself to see it a second time which I never do.
