Sting. David Bowie is one creepy figure.

bowie did a fantastic job of playing Andy Warhol in "Basquiat". There's actually a number of exceptional performances in that picture.

Bowie, for sure.
Also, Sting's speaking voice is a bit crappy. If I remember rightly he was a pub landlord in Lock Stock, and seemed far too weak for the part.

Anyone who's seen The Prestige knows that, by default, the answer is Bowie.

Sting's best roles so far were in Quadrophenia or The Adventures of Baron Munchausen.

Anything where he has, like, no lines. :D

I like Sting in Quadrophenia and Dune.

Bowie was fantastic in Labyrinth.

I cant choose!

well,in all fairness that was all about acheiving Lynch's vision....:D

Lynch was all about Blue Velvet. That's the only reason he agreed to make Dune in the first place -- quid pro quo.

He turned down Return of the Jedi, too. (y)

Actually,I think he lost thecontrol handle on Dune due to creative differences with the studio, essentially the same reasons he canned Twin Peaks.....I love how themes from Blue Velvet are repeated throughout Twin Peaks,Wild at Heart,Lost Highway...you know the red curtain, checkerboard floor thang.....I'd like to see his current art exhibit.....(y)

That, too. Maybe DeLaurentis more than the studio? I dunno. Troubled production, anyway.

I haven't.

Short grates on me now. Don't know why, except he's kind of like the Barry Manilow of comedy.
