so since i finally hit rock bottom in the money department, i realized i needed to cash in on my piggy bank that i've had since i was a little kid.

so far i have rolled $70 in quarters and $40 in dimes. and that was just scratching on what i have.

i really didnt think it would be as much as it seems to be, and i think this money will help keep me out of the red for the next couple weeks as well as pay for that ticket to bonnaroo. this is exciting.

anyone else have a rather large change collection growing at home?

I have two large ziplock freezer bags filled with coins and my dresser is full of them. unfortunately, I'm pretty sure I've looted most of the quarters. so, I dunno, it could still be worth it to cash them in.

I think I have about $75 in my change bucket. I still have about 18 inches (going up) of empty space and I'm trying not to coinstar it or whathaveyou until there is only 6 inches of empty space or until its really really heavy.

Yeah I have one of those oh so hilarious oversized novelty Corona bottle banks that I keep all my change in....when it's full that means it's time for a trip to Vegas and the change serves and spending/gambling money

Last year my stash of coins covered more than half the cost of my tattoo. I haven't really saved any since then though.

I usually save to $100 and cash it in. Usually a couple times a year.

yeah, mine was a big coke bottle. when i put them all in my bag to move them to my apartment, it put some serious strain on my shoulders it was that heavy

last night i rolled 34 rolls of pennies, which was probably a little more than half the pile. too bad they don't add up all that fast
