oh gnoes! Job Interviews?

So basically i've got a job interview next thursday for a fucking huge engineering contractor, namely Atkins Global, which sounds a bit evil in a corporate sort of way, but anyway...

I've had my fair share of job interviews but they've been fairly informal in all honesty. I'm wearing a suit to this one. Shit yo! It's also really high profile, its been advertised in papers all around the UK - my mate in london is applied for it, so basically long story short, i am shitting myself. I'll probably blush for the entire duration of the interview or something.

What's the etiquette for this sort of thing? What sort of things do you think i'll be asked? I mean, are they going to ask seemingly unrealated questions to find out what sort of person i am or some bollocks?

Smile a lot and maintain eye contact. Beyond that, they'll ask the expected shit with the odd curveball thrown in like "what would you put into Room 101?"

Yeah see, i'm hoping they don't go into any technical shit. Basically other than that i'm just as prepared as anybody else.

I suppose everybody gets nerves before this thing. I guess a bit of confidence is good? Not cocky, though.

don't worry, they usually won't get too technical with things


just make sure that you answer questions iwth more than just yes/no when you can.

I remember going to one interview...sheesh. I think it was my first one, actually. It was at one of those money loan offices. I had practiced and practiced...I wanted to be super professional.

At first the lady that interviewed me was business like, then somehow we started talking about hip hop.

"What did you think of Pharcyde's new album?" Stuff like that...

By the time the interview was over, I was in her car listening to the new Luda album. I didn't get the job, but talk about a laid back interview.

Thanks for all the advice yo - I had my interview last thursday and got an email wednesday morning from my contact type person telling me i'd got the job! I start in July on 310 sterlings a week.
