It sounds and looks intriguing, but being that Codemasters is developing it, I'm worried that it'll just be average. Regardless, I'm glad that it's not just another World War 2 FPS, telling the same old historical events, despite the repetition still being here with this game.

For those that don't know about this game, it's an alternate timeline FPS game about the Nazis invading a 1950s United States. You play as a construction worker trying to stay alive, while an invasion is taking place in New York City. It's going to be a crossplatform release for the PC, xbox360, and PS3. Even though it would more than likely play best on the PC, I'd probably buy it for the xbox360, once I get around to buying one.

Thoughts?

Oh really? I've heard of that game before, but I didn't know it had an alternate timeline story. Resistance for the PS3 is like that, but it has a science fiction theme. I wanna play that someday, whenever I buy a PS3, which will be so long from now. Hopefully by then, the game is dirt cheap, on the greatest hits list or whatever.

This sort of relates, but David Jaffe, the man behind the God of War games, was planning on making an FPS game for the PSP about the Chinese invading United States, well he backed off on it and cancelled it because he would have to devote many years making it, similar to how rough it was for him to develop the God of War games. He was saying how Sony was reluctant for him to use the names China and the US in literal sense, as it would be a touchy issue, but he wanted to do that as a political message to Bush, so he says. A feature he was going to incorporate in the game, was he wanted players to view what it would be like to be a Chinese American at that moment, during the invasion. Sony had wanted it to be on the PS3 instead, also, but Jaffe had insisted on it being on the PSP, as a Halo type game for the handheld.

It's these types of games I hope to see more of in the current nextgen consoles. I want to feel like I'm in a incredibly tense situation, such as a modern day war, and feeling compassion for others around me.
