So my friend works at a medical supply place, and they got a package in from Hawaii. A Gecko ran out (the package had been in the mail for many days) and the employee who opened the box asked who wanted it.
My friend Tim took it, and he knows I'm into exotic animals so I'm babysitting it for him (though I hope he'll give it to me eventually).
I look over at the cage, and "she" laid two small pea sized eggs in the corner just a couple hours ago! I threw together a make shift incubator, and now I wait the two months it takes for them to hatch.
Hey, I'm excited. (y)

This (http://www.tc.umn.edu/~gambl007/geckos/hemidactylus_frenatus.jpg) is actually the Gecko I've got...she changes colors constantly, it's quite cool.
And shit? (http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a176/Bluemetroid/2440915201.jpg) Nah man...I've been keeping animals too long to not know the difference :)

Yeah! Tell him something way out there to scare him into giving you one. Like you'll kill him or something.

Serious? man thats harsh. I know lots of ppl with turtles and reptiles as pets. if theyre native, whats the fricken problem?
Once I got a plant from Giant (grocery store) and I put it on the kitchen counter. About 3 hours later I was walking by and saw a little lizard crawl out. It was all cute and stuff.
Carry on.
Before heading over to Miller Outdoor Theatre this weekend to watch the Bernstein Bears, we ate pizza at Star Pizza. We sat on the patio, the pizza was really good, and a lizard crawled across the rail.
Um...that's all.
Lizards in Texas....no big deal.
Lizards in Virginia.....not to common.
That was just in case you were mocking me.

also, sorry for bringing the topic off lizards and onto shit-your-pants spiders, but i'm sure DSR is into them too

Some of the Island Gecko's such as mine are prone to Parthenogenesis. That ain't good. She might be laying eggs all the time if that's the case. From what I've read, there are whole populations out there devoid of males.
Nastee, did you see the pics of my spiders in the Family Album thread?
