The'res NO WAY I will see or pay to see the Beastie Boys play amongst a load of twats like at the Isle of wight or Wembley Stadium amongst a load of twats who don't appreaciate the B Boys so that is all
I haven#t got the cash anyway
why do this?
play to people who don't give a shit?
ah well,well...one of your biggest fans won't be there so take the money and run(y)

brother, I hear ya! thats how I felt when I saw them a couple of summers ago for a K-ROCK tour and 99% of the people didnt give a fuck about the beasties and when they performed, most left thier seats to do other things like piss and get food.

The reception they get at Live Earth will be muted indifference... What's the point?! Play a decent sized summer show on the same day instead and we can all come.

quit whinings babayz, this is gonna be an insane concert, they aren't the most loved or hated band out there, yet they still got hugely positive reception at the tibetan freedom concerts and t-in the park in britain in the past so i can't see why they won't get a solid reception at this concert as well

You over estimate the kind of twat who attends events like Live Earth...

I'm in 2 minds about it. Playing this type of show, I doubt it'll work, Most of the audience wont know about them, well not like we do obviously. Yes it's great they're playing for "the cause" but come on, why not play to people who care about them? People who actually would go to see them anyways. It could have worked out so well especially as I'm in London the very next day for Metallica gig but I dont want to see anyone else on that lineup.

i'm sure their summer line-up is merely a string of warm-up gigs anyway for the new material. when they finally book the proper tour they will be able to deliver the show that they know their fans deserve.

If it's another festival appearance next time, I'm probably not going to go. It's like watching pupils at open night. The band are sort of muted compared to how they are in their own element. What I would give to see an actual Beastie Boys show again.
