parties, hmmm. it depends if i know a lot of the people there or not.

if i don't i am normally quite quiet until i get, er, drunk. i try and make conversation with the people who look lonely because i am probably as lost as they are. and then we discover we have something in common and just stand there talking bullshit all night.

at my own parties or with people i know well, i am in charge of the fucking food. so i am the person who would be thrusting the party food in your face asking you to take more and making cocktails. and then i would pose for ages with various sweetthings from the freezer and ingratiate myself to all the guests by complaining i'm not as cool as my flatmates and to go and speak to them.

Too much sound drives me mad, because I hear it all. So if I'm in a room with many conversations going, it's like an Altman movie with every track level playing loudly. (n)

I usually have party ADD and change up my location a lot. unless there's any sort of game being played. I like euchre or trivia games, badminton. every now and again, I'll try my foot at hacky sack, but then remember that I am terrible at it and bow out.

also if there are pranks to be pulled, I want to be in on the planning and execution thereof.

if I end up at a random party, my accompanying friends and I usually stick to one spot and talk amongst ourselves and make fun of everyone else at the party. one time we did that at a christmas party and we tried to make cocoa with beer and have people drink it. and I drew a fat baby and "I EAT BABIES" on a dry erase board in the kitchen. we laughed so hard. people thought we were jerks though. oh well.
