I know a few people who just constantly make up shit, places they have been, things they have experienced or things they have owned. It really starts to annoy me when talking to them. I mean they are cool and nice people but I want to tell them to STFU and that they are obviously full of shit!!!

One way to deal with it is every time you lie, tell yourself it's a lie.
Even if no one knows you're doing it, when you hear a lie leave your lips, tick a little box off in your head.
Being aware of how much you do something is a good start to lowering it, then cutting it out.
I used to work with a patholgial liar, we had a mini intervention and she got help, and that was one of the things she was told to do, awareness.
