So the trial has started - anyone got any thoughts so far? Not least about his
'I'm not crazy, look how straight and normal my hair is now' new look

Or are people waiting for his not-guilty verdict and the inevitable "I Didn't Do It but if I Did, Here's How I Would Have Done it and Why" with the subtitle, "Double Jeopardy Laws Rock!" hardback with wipeclean cover, book?

If there's no crazy hair then I'm not interested.

He's a sad case.

Guilty as charged....but that means he may be golfing in Florida with O.J and Robert Blake by this time next month.....

At least with the friz, it looked like it actually was his hair. This new do looks like a wig.

I miss the crazy hair too. I can imagine his lawyers trying to broach the subject of him making the effort with his appearance in order to look less bonkers in court. That would have been fun.

Quincy tells me that apparently when people shoot themselves in the head they almost always open their mouth.....and don’t blast their teeth out……and female suicides rarely shoot themselves in the face/head to begin with…....

You're supposed to put the gun in your mouth and point up, so the bullet goes through the brain. It's possible to survive, otherwise.

But, yeah. I can imagine Phil asking her to go down on a gun in some weird sort of game, though. Who knows.

I wonder if a murder conviction means you get evicted from the rock n roll hall of fame?

I think Johnny Cash shot a man in Reno, so no.

Early one morning
With time to kill
I borrowed Jebb's rifle
And sat on a hill
I saw a lone rider
Crossing the plain
I drew a bead on him
To practice my aim

My brother's rifle
Went of in my hand
A shot rang out
Across the land
The horse, he kept running
The rider was dead
I hung my head
I hung my head

:D

He hit me
And it felt like a kiss
He hit me
And I knew he loved me

Early one mornin' while makin' the rounds
I took a shot of cocaine and I shot my woman down
I went right home and I went to bed I stuck that lovin' 44 beneath my head
Got up next mornin' and I grabbed that gun took a shot of cocaine and away I run
Made a good run but I run too slow they overtook me down in Juarez Mexico
Late in the hot joints takin' the pills in walked the sheriff from Jericho Hill
He said Willy Lee your name is not Jack Brown
You're the dirty heck that shot your woman down
Said yes oh yes my name is Willy Lee if you've got the warrant just and read it to me
Shot her down because she made me sore
I thought I was her daddy but she had five more
When I was arrested I was dressed in black....

Lest we forget poor Delia.......

I'd say with his track record it's pretty likely that he did it. He's been pulling guns on people for years, just at matter of time and senility till he actually shot somebody I guess.

"Phil Spector's history of gunplay is legendary - he once apparently pulled a gun on John Lennon and is said to have held a Ramones recording session with the band at gunpoint...."

C is for Crazy, that's good enough for me....

Yeah. Supposedly, he had Joey do the opening chord for one of the songs some fifty or sixty times. Something like that.

Is it wrong that when I mentally conjure up that scenario I laugh like hell?...I mean how many chords could Joey really play?.....:D

abcdefz

Yeah.

But it was the same chord, over and over. Trying to "get the sound right."

Finally they got a take that Spector was happy with. Joey said he couldn't tell the difference between any of them.

Boston Phoenix:

The Phil Spector sessions remain a turning point in Ramones history -- though in retrospect, it's clear he polished the band far less than did some of their later producers, notably Dave Stewart of Eurythmics. But legend has it that Spector was obsessive in the studio, making them play the opening chord of "Rock 'n' Roll High School" for eight hours straight. "That's true, it was insane," Joey confirms. "He locked us in his house for hours, and he pulled a gun on Dee Dee. But it was a positive learning experience. And that chord does sound really good."

oh,no arguement...and it comes out of nowhere and is supposed to be taken as being some profound reflection on the times.....

When I read about how he had his wife murdered I watched Lost Highway again and it was way creepier than the first time I saw it! (y)
Murdering actors should be cast more often!
