the best explanation i've gotten on the subject is that while these things are indeed happaning, there is no full proof what the causes of it are.

I'm under the firm belief of "Better safe than sorry" and nothing but good things can come out of people trying to conserve more, trying to drive less and ride their bikes more and walk and all of that stuff. They'll lose weight, we'll conserve oil, less emissions will mean cleaner air, and even if it turns out man wasn't a big influence, we've still done positive stuff in our conservation efforts. It's absolutely retarded to say "MAN'S NOT A FACTOR TO THE WARMING OF THE EARTH, CONTINUE TO WASTE EXPONENTIALLY!" (n)
