wow, Incubus and BBoys at the same fest on the same day.
never thought I'd see that.
I'm also the only person on this board who gives a fuck about that.

Incubus puts on a good show, I liked them. I'm excited for them, Beasties, Fountains of Wayne, Modest Mouse, and the Police.
However, I'm probably going to be dragging Brett to this (he's coming down in August to help me pack up and move to Canada around that time, so it's killing two birds with one stone) and $175 for both days is outta my budget. $97 is doable... harsh, but doable. I KNOW he's going to want to see Interpol and Bad Brains (though he probably will be a little iffy about seeing Bad Brains in a festival setting rather than an individual venue, I think). And I reaaaally want to see Smashing Pumpkins (I love 311, but I hear they've gone WAY downhill when it comes to concerts).
But come on! It's the fucking Beastie Boys. We have to go to that show. I just wish some of the second day-ers would move it on up to the first.
I'd be excited to see Incubus.........if it was 1997. There's seems to be decent shit playing both days.

Think I'll pass. I'm not feeling the lineup for Saturday at all.
I'm not interested in spending a hot August day with 50k sweaty, smelly teenagers to watch the Beasties set on a screen a half a mile away from the stage.
I'll wait for the Beasties to do a proper tour after the album release.

Whoa, Shout Out Out Out Out is playing? That's a local Edmonton band I've seen three times play small seedy clubs (well, one was very small and seedy, the other times were larger, but I'd still err towards kinda seedy). I wonder how that translates to festival settings.

Incubus puts on a good show...
funny thing is, I disagree. I mean, I go see them cuz I like them and sometimes they re-work their songs in cool ways but they might be one of the most boring bands to watch perform.
the don't move, look at each other or the crowd.
lol?

Well, it was night time at a festival in 2001 and I'm pretty sure I had a contact high. And Brandon had his shirt off. But from what I can remember, I liked them lots. WHICH ISN'T SAYING MUCH, ROFL

Day 2 is the only one worth possibly going to, in my opinion.

Overall, day 2 rules way more, with the exception of Modest Mouse, maybe LCD Soundsystem, and maybe the Beastie Boys.

^Yeah, I know. I was upset Beastie Boys were on Day 1, but I'm assuming since they draw such a huge crowd and fanbase, they want to balance things out more by putting them then. Or maybe they have birthday plans for Yauch the next day, I denno.

they way i see it is i get to see the beastie boys and the smashing pumpkins one day after another. and that's good enough for me.
and i agree, when i went to see incubus, i thought they were pretty good. but i was high as well.
i have no clue where to stay overnight tho, camp somewhere? hotel? sleep in car?
