So long NY huh. Hey, you be good or be good at it ericlee. I just went back to Virginia for vacation (who doesn't vacation in Virginia?) and I went out for beers with my good friend who was in Iraq. He is a Major in the Army reserves. He was in Baghdad for 3 years. He was telling me that people are making a bundle of tax free cash contracting work for the government. He said that he knew a guy that made over 100 grand working at a military health club. The guy was cleaning towels and making much money tax free. You gotta love Uncle Sam. Our government takes our money and contracts private hospitals to do subpar work for premium cash. Crazy but hey if you can stand the turmoil, living conditions and heat then why not? My friend was also telling me that some of the Iraqi women are gorgeous. The workers are treated to free meals and great fringe benefits.

Ericlee, are you going to work as a private contractor or in military service?

Well, it looks like I'm not going back at all. After hearing my mom sobbing on the phone when I told her, it was too hard to stomach.

Also if I go, the wife will stay behind too. Hell, honestly, I don't want to go back.

Actually the only good thing I'd achieve from it is I'd probably see my best friend who's currently over there for 8 months. I'd also see some of my good buddies who are locals.

But no, I can't go and leave my mom worried. She's living in my aunt's house right now because my aunt's husband left for there last month to work as a contractor in the green zone. Yeah, I'd be selfish if I were to go.
