What is up with this? I have a few theories:

1. They were asked to not report it back to us

2. They made a pact not to tell anyone cuz they think it makes them special, being the elite few that know something while the rest of us speculate

3. They infact should not have been at the party in the first place, this was discovered and the boys either are keeping them hostage in the capital records basement until the album drops or *gulp*....I can't even say it.

The instruments you hear are infact all made by Mike D's amazing vocal range.

The listening party were all deaf.

They put the cd in the wrong way

Did it ever occur to you that something might have happened and they were not able to make it, or that it may have got cancelled.

Then why wouldn't they have told us? Sure they would feel like idiots for acting like they had the jump on us but by just not posting anything about it they look like assholes anyway.

I have absolutely ZERO interest in what they have to say about the album or any other Beastie info they might have.

It still doesn't answer the question of why they wouldn't have called you, since you are obviously interested, to tell you if something went wrong.

Paul's report would be something to read, but I don't hold his opinion in great esteem. If he loves it, it's shock posting. If he hates it, it's probably pretty good.

Wouldnt that suck if it came down to the drop date and Yauch gets on the board like "SURPRISE! APRIL FOOLS! THERE IS NO ALBUM!!" and then were like WTF? and It turns out he got captured by Sasquatch again and didnt know what day it was and thought that getting us all psyched up for the damn album when it never existed in the first place would be a good joke.

So, in the pitchfork interview it says "post-punk" instrumental...but would you guys describe it like this? From what I've read so far it dosen't seem like that.

You posted that you were heading to the listening party on 4/26...folks were expecting you to post a review a few hours later. Or at least the next morning. Shit got crazy. :D
