2001, and A Prince Among Thieves. I think A Prince Among Thieves aged faaaaar better. In my opinion Breezly Brewin>Eminem. And the guest spots and overall concept are prety much unfuckwithable.

It was a much closer call in 1999, but ideas like the deception leading up to the final track Big Sha does on his own is deep.

Brewin > Urrbody

I mean that, too. He is so dangerously underrated and so dangerously awesome.

Part of the reason why Prince Paul is close to my favourite producer, too.

There's a 10 mintue version of that flick around, but none of the ones on youtube have the audio synched up properly. Anyway, good work on posting in this thread.

I hadn't heard APAT so I just went and downloaded it now. Listening now, only on the first track proper ("Pain") but it isn't grabbing me yet... sounds like an Immortal Technique song or something.

Ah well, I'll listen to the whole thing through before I judge, maybe it'll grow on me. A lot of things do, I remember I thought Illmatic was average on my first listen.

I could understand not liking it at first, but it's an audio movie. A concept album. You really need to listen to the whole thing all the way through the first few times to get the story and such. It's genius.
