Local elections tomorrow and then he's likely to quit. For all the shit over Iraq and the introduction of variable tuition fees, I can't help but quite like the Blair. He always gave good in PMs question time and I reckon history will look back favourably...

And Brown is a cunt.

man, i hate this dance political public relations people do with journalists nowdays. i hate newspapers telling me who to vote for, ugh.

so all the murdoch newspapers today were like

DONT PUT SCOTLAND'S NECK IN A NOOSE, DONT VOTE SNP

THIS MAN WANTS TO BREAK UP BRITAIN (picture of alex salmond)

oh boy, i can't wait to see what the front pages are like tomorrow when he wins, ahar!

the cabinet is turning into a scottish mafia. i too like blair. he's a smart bloke and i love(d) him on question time. altho when he went on parkinson and said how he talked to god when he was agonising over iraq... well, it was just a bit weird.

I don't normally vote but I went today. If SNP do win I'll lose my job.

Which would kinda suck. :(

Not anymore... After the 2005 debacle where he was stood in a computer generated Downing Street with dead Prime Ministers, he's had the chop.

Ahah! You serious? A party that has based it's policies on a free Scotland? :p

Anyway I needed to find a new job anyway, just the "losing the phat pension" side of things that sucks. :(

How wacky were some of the candidates?!
Christian Family something or the other puttin' leaflets through about banning abortions and homosexual adoption, the BNP spouting a load of tripe, etc, etc.

Anyhoo, I live down the road from Mr Salmond, and he seems a little odd to me.
He came to my work once, shook hands with a few folk with learning disabilites, and is generally a bit of a local spectacle.

A local prospective local councillor drove up my lane in his decked out 4x4 and when he saw my at the window washing up, shouted stuff at me over his loud speaker. It's only one house for pete's sake, gone are the days of knocking on doors, it seems.

I think anyone who wants to run in an election should be immediately discounted from it on the grounds that you must be unstable to want to run the country, and we should just pluck sensible looking folk off the street and out of the relevant professions and thrust power upon them, whether they like it or not, like jury duty.

I agree with that fully.
