Hey someone told me that all the songs on the mix up are instrumental but that the singles that come from the new cd are with vocals!

Funny idea! (y)

Damon Albarn
Cat power
Money Mark

Those are my three choices thus far.

Chan Marshall would be hot on one of the singles. She did sample Paul Revere on American Flag, so it would seem to be a natural fit.

That's actually a really good idea, but then people would want those versions on the album... which means the album will end up being released twice. It's kind of cool but also kind of a rip off.

the singles won't get any airplay on mainstream rock stations/alternative stationse ven i would think, this album is strictly for their absolute most diehard fans, which i am one of, yet i won't get the album. I never thought i'd say that about a bboys album, this is such a shatty time for me

Your posts are usually clownshoes, but you should buy the album. You'll probably be surprised.

You shouldn't say that yet...you never know what they're going to throw at us...I'm starting to have a real good feeling about this one. Keep having these crazy dreams about some dope stylez they might have hit up:cool:

Didn't you know? Country Mike does vocals on half the albums. Its supposed to be a secret, but I know a guy who knows aguy who delivers the special manure shovels to clean up after the buffaloes.

from here you sound like a pessimist. a realist would gather that the beasties rarely dissapoint.

you're definitely entitled to your opinion, though, my friend. i hope you'll at least give it a chance though.:o

heh i'll give it a chance, i'm sorry, i love the guys soo damn much, i just want them to do what they do best, which is rap, and honestly, as an objective fan, they're viewed as an old group already and that "they should retire" etc. due to their age, and it's gonna be at least another 2 years before we get another rap album from them, so they'll each be mid-40's by then, i dunno it just doesn't seem right to release an instrumental album right now to me...all the power to them for doing what they want and not worrying about people's opinions but i still don't think it's the greatest move

i kind of feel like an instrumental album just kind of solidifies their status as a multi-dimensional artistic faction. if they followed tt5b boroughs with another rap heavy album, i could see people assuming that the whole instrumental experimentation had passed and that it was merely a phase. such a release helps counterbalance their rap and non-rap format to the point where they can be considered just as much musicians as they are rappers.

though the general public will probably pay little mind to TMU, I think the beasties will receive considerable critical praise. alotta respect shall be garnered, IMO.
