Share your basic training stories here. They're always fun. I just can't stop laughing when I think about the good old days. I actually want to do it again.

Reason I've mentioned Helvete is cause I want to see if there's any comparison between the brit basic training and the us basic.

Anyway, once, some dipshit left their locker unlocked and our drill sergeant happened to walk in and notice it. He made everyone in our dorm throw all of the contents out of the windows (we were on the 2nd floor) and retrieve them within 5 minutes and having them inspection ready in our wall lockers.

I had a really bad day, I lost my job, my gf left me, and my car was repossessed.

I got fed up and convinced my best mate Russell to join the army with me. We started basic training with a really tough drill sargeant called Hulka. Anyway Hulka got injured by a mortar, and I ended up having to lead the group to complete our training.

After graduation, General Barnicke assigned myself and our platoon to Fort Milano, Italy, to man a new assault vehicle called the EM-50. By this time Hulka had recovered from his injuries and had rejoined us. One day Russell and I decided to 'borrow' the EM-50 to pick up our hot MP girlfriends, who were in Germany. The rest of the platoon were out looking for us, and they got captured by Russian troops and taken into the Czech Republic. Myself, Russell, Stella and Louise had to venture into the Czech Republic and rescue them!!! It was very exciting.

No wait, that was Stripes
