You gotta realize, there are certain types of people who want to be police officers. They're the ones who crave authority and want to tell others what to do, which naturally means those who are cops are going to have the "listen to me or else" attitude about them. It can lead to abusing their authority, especially if there's resistance to what they say (even if it's peaceful resistance).

I wish there was some way to keep the assholes out of the police department. It'd be nice to be assured that they're there to help you in times of need, not threaten your life because you were having a peaceful protest.
