no but i would probably get tattoos of other bands
and nothing too clear like the band name or a band picture LOL but something like a secret code that only the hardcore fans would understand and then we could high five each other to death

Too easy to make fun of someone's second language. I'd like to see how good your italian is. Oh and "puttana" doesn't count.

IF i was to ever get one, and thats a big IF, I would get a little version of the old LTI diamond logo somewhere like my ankle or shoulderblade.

NO.
years ago, tattoos were used to show one's art and love for tattoos. scarring your body with a band is so wrong. Ive seen crazy people with tats of star wars stuff and cars. thats just sick. so wrong.

if i were to get a tattoo, it would be of a rose, very simple, yet still symbolizes my love for the band. i mean, i could look at it years from now and be like "oh yeah, i remember why i got that" and smile :)
but for right now i'm happy with the rose in my signature. hehe

I'd never really get a tattoo, they are for commoners.

They lost to a crappy team and didn't win it in the end :D

u know, i think in italian there's something like 20 ways to say puttana!!!
well, anyway. an andilovemike! post has some "business". wow.
when i went to rome to see yauch last ocotber, there was a boy with an awesome beastie tattoo... beasties' s togeter forever forum logo with written BEASTIE BOYS in blue and red, on the left arm... woooow..
yes, often tattoo are a common thing to do. but i think that write something that means a lot for u it's different by make that shit that now goes so well, like write idiot ideals or yr name in some strange language, or animals or so.

I have 1 tat. I got it back in 1989 when I joined the NYC Guardian Angels. My codename was "Snake Eyes", from GI JOE, so naturally, I got a tat of the character. Now, I didnt get it because he was my favorite character, it stood for me in the Angels and my stance on crime and drugs.
Tats have gone to hell now. Every girl i see now has a "tramp stamp" on thier ass. I want to see these girls when they are 70 years old with these things. I want to see these grandmothers try and explain to thier grand kids why they got it. I mean, when I got my tat, it was from a 300 pound biker guy that looked liked he could throw me on the back of a bike and drag me down the streets by a chain. I cant imagine anyone going to the same type of guy saying "hey, I want a tatoo of britney spears". its just wrong. If your going to get a tat, dont get one of your favorite movie or musical group. get one for a real reason such as commemorating the death or the birth of someone. And if you even think of getting a tat of a person your dating or a spouse: dont do it. its taboo and your going to break up with that person.

I would have to disagree with you on the part about "getting a tattoo for a reason". Some people just like to decorate their hide. I would never get a girlfriends name tattooed on me, that is like a for sure breakup curse.

A tat is an extremely personal thing and any person should put whatever the hell they want on their body if it makes em happy. I don't get the 'when you're 70 and old it'll be gross' mentality... it's part of who you are. Meh, maybe I'm just too easy goin but really, when you're 70 are you really showin all that much skin anyhow?
Wow Poots! That's one hairy elephant! ;) Heehee.
I actually have a bboy one in mind but it's pretty obscure. I wanna keep the idea to myself though and when/if I get it I'll post a piccie here for you all.

Oh well...the answer is simple.... it's YES!!!
i got mine one, just last week and I'm so glad of it, cuz it's got a lot of meanings inside it, even if it was a pre-existing logo and it was created for the Beastie Boys! My 2 best friends payed it for me, as a gift for my birthday.
U can see it on the "Piercing and Tattoos" thread on the "sure shot" section! [if u care about it...]

Oh well it's simple:
I wanted to have something about the Beastie Boys on me, to bring it with me forever, so I tought on first to get the cover of some album, but then I watched well at the covers and I didn't like 'em at all, as a tattoo, I mean...
So after that one day I saw the logo of Grand Royal and I liked it so much also cuz inside the poker cards there are a lot of important meanings for me...and I decided to get it because of that. It's dead but, it will always be remembered as the Beastie Boys label...so it's not dead at all.

That's an ignorant generalization. The tatoo of the naked bitch on my 75 year old grandpa's arm that he got when he was 18 in the navy isn't "important."
It's pretty much the same shit as young people are doing today. Generation, Shmeneration. Same as it ever was.
